Mahashivratri Utsav organised by GSN

Ganga Aarti by Jagat Guru Jayendra Saraswati Ji

Spiritual & Religious Activities

Ganga Seva Nidhi takes active part in celebrating important religious festivals to arouse awareness for collective work for the society, preserve cultural heritage and bring peace and harmony in society. Some of them are:

Dev-Dipavali Mahotsava (on Karttika Purnima) - October-November

Ganga Dusshera Mahotsava (celebrated in commemoration of descent of the Divine Ganga on Earth) - May-June

Nutan Varsh Utsava (the first day of New Year according to Hindu Calendar) - April

Shiv Ratri Utsava (marriage day of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati) - February - March.

Daily Ganga Aarti, followed by prayers and discourses, is a constructive effort of GSN to reawaken the latent consciousness of people towards the sordid impurities and pollution of Ganga. Ganga Seva Nidhi is the forerunner of Ganga Maha-Aarti on auspicious days.
